Has anyone successfully painted cabinets with this product?

I'm looking to give our bathroom vanity a makeover. We've got a nice quartz countertop, but I'm really not a fan of the espresso cabinets. The gloss finish shows all the imperfections, and I want to paint the cabinets for a fresh look without breaking the bank or replacing the countertop. I've heard about a product that allows you to skip the usual prep steps like cleaning, sanding, and priming, and it's supposedly highly rated. Has anyone here given it a try?

Yeah, it works pretty well! But the secret to nice-looking cabinets is definitely in the prep work. It can be tedious, but if you take your time to prep properly and use a high-quality brush, you'll end up with a great finish. I've found that spraying achieves an even better look if you're looking for a smooth finish!

Thanks! Do you have a recommendation for a good yet affordable sprayer?

Honestly, you can’t really skip the prep. At the very least, you’ll need to sand a bit, otherwise, the paint won’t adhere properly over time. If you skip it, expect to see flaking in just a few years. Take it from my experience!

Thanks for the heads up! I recently painted my front door and put in the prep work. I sanded between layers and it turned out great. Looks like I’ll need to do the same for the cabinets…

Use this cleaner; it really works to help the paint stick without needing to sand! I can attest since we re-did our kitchen with it. I don’t have links for my kitchen photos here, but I can DM you if you want to see them!
