Have You Tried Planting a Wild Variety of Plants in One Space?

I've been diving into some videos by Masanobu Fukuoka, and I'm really intrigued by the idea of planting a diverse range of plants all over the place just to see what the outcome will be. I'm thinking about giving it a shot with a mix of sunflowers, beans, tomatoes, beets, squash, radishes, parsnips, arugula, kale, and spinach. Has anyone done something like this? I plan to space them out, but I want to create a more 'wild' garden atmosphere.

I say go for it! I've seen others do this, and it turned out really well. Initially, setting it up might be tricky, but once you've got everything planted, just focus on maintaining your plants with the right care and fertilizers. It's definitely worth trying out!

Just a heads-up, plant the sunflowers last! They grow super fast and might take over your garden if you plant them too early. You might want to initially plan for your tomatoes, squash, and parsnips since they need more space and time, and then fill in with the other plants around them. I've heard sunflowers can stifle the growth of nearby plants, so maybe keep them a bit separate.

That sounds like a really fun way to garden compared to the usual methods! Just make sure you keep an eye on everything as it grows!
