Heated Floors vs. Ceiling Fan Heater: What’s Better for My Bathroom?

Asked By ChillyNinja82 On

I'm in the middle of renovating my bathroom and trying to decide between installing electric radiant heated floors or going with a ceiling fan heater (like the Panasonic Whisperwarm). The bathroom is about 11 x 5 feet, and I currently have baseboard heaters, but during winter, I just keep the bathroom door open to let heat from the hallway come in. If it's still chilly, I deal with it. For the renovation, I'll need to replace the flooring and the fan anyway. Which heating option do you think is better? Is there a big cost difference between the two? And is it worth splurging on heated floors if they're more expensive? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Heated floors in a bathroom are pure bliss, especially when you're getting up in the middle of the night! It's totally worth considering, even though it may seem like a bigger investment upfront. Once you experience that warmth underfoot, you won’t want to go back. Plus, it's a nice touch during colder months, especially when stepping out of the shower!

Totally agree! Nothing beats that feeling after a shower. I'd choose heated floors any day.

Same here! Once you have them, you'll wonder how you lived without them.

I added heated floors to my bathroom and it's honestly one of the best decisions I made for that house. The luxury is unmatched! You're definitely going to miss it if you skip out on it now. Just keep in mind that they are more expensive to install, but they pay off in comfort.
