Help! Best Time to Plant a Flamingo Willow in Wet Soil?

Hey everyone! I'm new to gardening and need some advice. My garden is long and narrow, and it borders a pond, which makes the soil quite soggy - when I dig a hole now, it fills with water pretty quickly. I'm thinking about planting a flamingo willow because I can't really fit a large tree in my space. Should I plant it now, or is it better to wait until summer when the soil is less wet? Also, I'm confused about what size tree I should be looking for, as there are so many options online. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

A flamingo willow sounds like a great choice for your garden! These trees can handle wet soil pretty well, so planting it now could actually be okay. Just keep an eye on the water levels and try to ensure the roots don't sit in water for too long. As for size, it usually depends on your garden layout, but going for a smaller size might be safer, especially if space is tight. Lots of places offer them in different heights, so choosing something around 3-5 feet might work best for you. Good luck!
