I'm struggling to find the right light bulbs for the recessed can lights outside my front door. The bulbs we've used in the past seem incorrect, and I'm not sure what size I should be looking for. The screw-in part looks standard, but the bulbs I find are either too big or not quite fitting. To add to the trouble, there are either stink bugs or paper wasps that keep appearing around the fixtures due to a gap. Any suggestions for the appropriate bulb size or fixes for the pest issue?

You should check out 'PAR16 short neck' bulbs. They have a 2-inch diameter. Just to be safe, measure your fixture trim to confirm, but it looks like your hole is roughly 2 inches.
From what I can see, you might want to go with a BR20 bulb. It should fit the fixture you have without any issues.
If dealing with those pesky paper wasps is a concern, consider swapping out the trim for one that has built-in LEDs. Just score the paint around the edge and pull it down to remove it. It's been a huge help for me!

Exactly! I switched to LED wafers and added some weather-stripping foam around them, and now my can lights don't leak air. In your case, the foam might not even be necessary because the wafers will block wasps from getting into the recessed areas.
