Hey folks! I'm about to grab a 12" cordless sliding mitre saw this weekend. I was leaning towards the Milwaukee saw to stay consistent with my other tools, but I've been hearing mixed reviews. I've narrowed it down to either the Milwaukee or a Bosch equivalent. I'm mainly using it for framing animal shelters out in my paddock. Also, the only decent rolling stand available here in Australia is the Bosch gravity lift, so that's a factor too. Any recommendations? This is my first sliding mitre saw!

For framing cuts, I’d definitely go with the Milwaukee. I’ve got the Bosch with the T4 stand, and it’s fantastic for framing tasks. But honestly, if you’re not cutting a lot of 4x4s, a 7 1/4 inch saw might just do the trick. They're made for exactly that kind of work.
What's the price difference looking like? If the Milwaukee and Bosch are close in price, I’d lean towards the Bosch since it’s generally known to be better made. But if you’re just framing, a good circular saw could save you some cash and hassle!
Milwaukee is $1549 AUD for the body only, but I’ve got $300 in store credit from a VIP night. The Bosch is $1449 and comes with a charger and an 8ah battery as part of a redemption offer. So leaning Bosch seems like a better deal!
Thanks for the advice! I’ll have other projects for the saw too, like exterior decking and trim work, so I’d rather invest in a good setup now than struggle with a circular saw later!

I’ll be cutting a lot of 4x4s and 6x2s, so I think the 12" is the way to go for me. The Bosch has better pricing right now, but you’re right about the additional costs for the batteries and charger if I go that route. The stand isn’t cheap either at $568 AUD!
