Help! How Do I Secure My Chandelier Without Cutting Drywall?

I'm trying to switch out my old light fixture for a new chandelier, but I've hit a snag. When I took down the old power holder, I found out that it was secured to a brace that doesn't have a joint, making it impossible for me to screw it back in properly. The brace is loose, and when I tried, the screws just won't catch. Is there a way to secure this without cutting into the drywall? Any smart solutions or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Have you thought about checking out some YouTube videos on installing a ceiling fan box? You should have a metal box attached to a bracket in your ceiling with screws, which is designed for this kind of setup. Once installed, you can rehang your light fixture and wire it up easily. If the bracket is loose, it might help to take it down, bend it a bit tighter, and reattach it to ensure it holds the light properly.

Could you upload a picture of how the brace connects to the ceiling joists? It sounds like the brace shouldn't be turning. If you do see it turning, it might be one of those expanding braces that adjusts by rotation. A picture of the connection would really help us diagnose the issue.
