Help! How to Fix Semi-Gloss Touch-Ups in My Painted Bedroom?

0
Asked By CreativeCat99 On

I recently painted my master bedroom, but I accidentally bought a semi-gloss finish for some touch-ups instead of the eggshell finish I originally used. Now I have these random shiny spots that don't match the rest of the wall. What's the best way to fix this? Can I just apply a primer over those spots and then repaint with the eggshell, or do I need to sand them down first? Any tips? Thanks a bunch!

You can just repaint the semi-gloss spots with the eggshell paint. There's no need for primer or sanding—just go right over it. That should blend it back in pretty well!

I tried that and it still looked bad! Haha

Why not turn those shiny spots into a fun design? Think big plants like monstera leaves or even octopus shapes! Just make sure to keep them about the same size as your dinner plates to maintain a uniform look. Stripes could also be a cool idea!
