I tried to hang a picture frame using four screws at once, and now they've messed up my wall. The screws aren't aligned properly and won't hold the frame. What steps can I take to fix the holes I've made and re-hang the frame correctly?

Another option is to grab some spackle. Fill those holes, and if they’re really tiny, like pencil-width, you could even use toothpaste! But then again, maybe save that trick for dorm life. Once it's patched up, you’ll be set to re-hang your frame.
First off, don’t stress! You can pick up a small tub of drywall patch from any hardware store. Some even come with a built-in spatula in the lid for easy application. Just patch the holes a couple of times, sand it lightly, and then apply some touch-up paint. When you re-hang the frame, make sure to move it an inch up or down to avoid the old holes.
If the frame is big enough, it might just cover the old holes if you align the screws correctly. I’d suggest putting some toothpicks in the holes before screwing in again for added support. It’s a bit of a hack, but it works in a pinch!
