I just moved into a family home and I'm trying to figure out what type of countertops are in my kitchen. I want to make sure I clean and care for them properly. Here's a link to a photo for reference: https://imgur.com/a/xk88Rdl. Any insights would be really appreciated!

It looks like you've got some blue pearl granite there! It's a pretty popular choice for countertops and has a beautiful look. Just make sure to use a pH-balanced cleaner to keep it in great shape.

Yeah, granite is pretty common and if it’s sealed well, it should last a long time. Just a tip: when cleaning, avoid harsh chemicals. Stick to safer options to keep that shine!

I see granite too! But to be sure without a closer look, checking the edges can help. If they're solid and smooth, it’s likely stone. There are some really convincing laminate options out there nowadays, but if you think it was installed around 2007, it’s probably granite. Just keep it well-sealed!
