I've had this plant for over a year and I'm really struggling to identify it. One minute Google says it's a ghost plant, and the next says it's a donkey tail. My mother-in-law gave it to me, but she can't remember what it is either. I'm also curious if I can cut it and propagate it successfully. I know you can propagate with the leaves, but that's about all I know. I'd really appreciate any help!

It looks like your plant is definitely one of those light-loving types, likely in the Echeveria or Graptoveria family. The fact that it’s stretched out suggests it’s not getting enough light, which can make it tough for folks to identify it correctly. You can cut off a section and pot it in a new container, but I'd recommend fixing the lighting first. Starting with a healthier, more compact piece might give you better results. Plus, you could leave some stem to encourage it to grow offsets or ‘babies’ later on!

Ok, thank you so so much. I'm fixing the lighting as we speak.
