Help! M18 Battery and Charger Issues—Should I Get a Warranty?

Hey everyone! I've been using my M18 battery and charger for less than a year and am running into some charging problems. The charger initially showed flashing red and green lights when I plugged it in. After trying to 'slam' the battery down (saw that tip on another post), it now stays solid red, but the battery only blinks red every four seconds. I'm a bit confused about whether I should try getting a warranty or if I might be doing something wrong. I've had good experiences with warranties in the past, so I'm hoping for a solution!

I just got my first Milwaukee tools too, and I've had the same worries. It feels like the batteries don’t connect very securely to the chargers, right? I noticed the fast red/green light happens often. From what I understand, only a couple of their chargers actually snap in securely. It might seem weird at first, but you’ll get used to it!

I’d just go ahead and warranty it. Better to be safe than sorry, especially if you’re still under a year! They usually come through pretty quickly with these things.

Is your battery completely drained? If it’s showing one flashing light, that means it’s really low. Try leaving it on the charger for about half an hour. Sometimes those flashing lights just mean it needs a bit more time to warm up and start charging properly.
