I'm heading out plant shopping and I'm completely lost on what to pick! I want some good-looking large plants to put on the floor that are beginner-friendly and hard to kill (I've even managed to kill cacti before). I've done a bit of research and my shopping list includes a rubber plant, a big snake plant, a monstera, and a fig plant. Are these good choices? If not, can you suggest some alternatives? Ideally, I'd like plants that are not too expensive since I'm worried about killing them. Just to add, I don't have kids or pets at home, so the toxicity of certain plants, like monstera, isn't a concern for me.

Have you thought about peace lilies? They're dramatic and let you know when they need water by drooping. But keep in mind they don't get super tall right away. If you want something bushy, consider parlor palms. Just remember, whatever you get will grow, so it’s good to think about repotting later on. Make sure to choose plants that fit your light situation!
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend fiddle leaf figs or rubber plants for a beginner. They're tricky to keep healthy unless you're confident with watering. For big plants that can handle a little neglect, definitely go for the snake plant! It's super durable—just avoid overwatering it. And consider money trees, they're really low-maintenance and look great too. Just make sure to check your lighting; they'll thrive in bright spots.
Just looked up the money tree—love it! Thanks for the recommendation!
If you like the rubber plant and snake plant, go for them but watch out for the watering! Dracaena Marginata is another solid pick—really sturdy! And if you’re looking for something unique, a ZZ plant might be great for you too. They're super hardy and fashionable!
Thanks for the tips! I just found a ZZ plant and it looks fantastic!

That sounds awesome! I love the idea of something that tells me when it's thirsty.
