Help Me Choose the Right Lawnmower for My Small Lawn!

I'm on the hunt for a budget-friendly mulching lawnmower for my small 20sqm lawn. I've narrowed it down to two options that both have a mulching function and fit my budget. Since I'm new to gardening and recently transitioned from living in a flat to caring for a lawn that used to be a gravel garden, I'm curious if a mulching function is necessary. Is it really helpful for a new lawn or are there other alternatives? I'm also considering whether I should just go for a non-mulching Bosch mower or even a manual reel mower instead. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Honestly, I'd recommend steering clear of both those options. They're more than you'd need for such a small area! I recently bought a small, lightweight mower that's similar to the first one you linked, and it turned out to be way too heavy for me. Instead, look for something compact and manageable, like this smaller model I found online. It's ideal for a lawn your size without being a hassle to move around.

For a small 20sqm lawn, you really don’t need a big, fancy mower. A manual reel mower could work just fine, though it does require some effort! The mulching feature is handy since it chops up the grass clippings and returns nutrients to your lawn, but if you use a collection box, you can just dispose of the clippings through garden waste. If you want something with a bit more power, check out battery mowers like the Einhell one; they’re easy to use and perfect for small gardens!
