Hey everyone! I recently found a swarm of bugs above my shower and I'm trying to identify whether they're termites or ants. I've got a couple of pictures that might help: [First Picture](https://imgur.com/a/E1euSE4) and [Larger Bug](https://imgur.com/a/HTWMzw9). Any insights would be appreciated!

It looks like you might have winged ants! During springtime, certain ant species develop wings to mate. A quick Google search about winged ants should help you figure it out more precisely. Just to be safe, though, keep an eye out for any ant trails nearby!

Thanks for the tip! I uploaded another clearer picture. Do you still think they’re ants?

From what I've seen in your pics and considering where you found them, they could actually be drain flies. These usually appear due to a buildup of gunk in the drains. I'd suggest doing a deep clean in your bathroom, treating the drains with some bug killer, and trying the old baking soda and vinegar trick. It creates a reaction that should clear out any debris. Just be careful when flushing with boiling water!

Got it! I uploaded another photo. Can you take a look? Fingers crossed they’re just drain flies!
