Hey everyone,
I'm hoping to get some advice on a really annoying issue with my ceiling fan in the master bedroom. It's a Hampton Bay fan from Home Depot, installed when we bought the house in 2019, and lately, it has started making a knocking noise that keeps me awake at night.
I've tried a few things already, like re-torquing the screws that attach the fan brackets to the frame and checking in the attic to see if the sound is coming from the box (it's not). I even took the fan apart multiple times and tightened the screws on the motor housing.
I measured the blades too, and they all seem to be about the same height from the ceiling, but I can't pinpoint what might be causing this noise. Is it a motor issue, or could there be something else loose that I'm missing? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Have you considered just getting a new fan? Sometimes it's easier than troubleshooting endlessly, especially if it's affecting your sleep!

Please tell me it’s not just me needing a new fan! I’d be bummed if my installation was the issue!
