I recently encountered a strange issue with my circular handsaw (DCS578). It was working just fine, but now when I try to cut, the blade is spinning backwards instead of forwards. I've already taken the blade off and put it back on, and I've even removed the battery for a while, hoping to reset it, but nothing seems to work. I checked the manual and couldn't find anything about this problem. Has anyone experienced this before and knows how to fix it?

Have you tried checking if it's upside down? Sometimes we forget the basics! But seriously, if the blade's motor is spinning counter-clockwise when it should be clockwise, there might be a bigger issue. It sounds like something might have gone awry with the internal wiring or motor. Have you contacted customer support yet? They might have some specific troubleshooting steps for this.
Sounds frustrating! It could be that the motor is malfunctioning. If you haven't used it much, make sure to check if it's still under warranty. If it is, I’d recommend reaching out for a replacement or repair. Meanwhile, hand cutting can be a real pain, so hang in there!
