I'm really in a bind here – I've had two batches of compost mold up shortly after mixing them into the soil. This could potentially lead to losing a bunch of my plants, including my alocasia frydeks, since they were all in the same greenhouse setup. I'm at a loss about what's going wrong or how to salvage them. I'm seriously considering pulling them out of the soil and maybe even repotting without the compost. I also need to repot my Monstera, but I'm worried about the mold risk. Any advice or solutions to prevent this from happening again would be greatly appreciated! For context, the compost is made from my countertop composter, and it's generally been okay until now.

One option could be to soak the compost soil and use that water to nourish your plants. This might help with the mold issue. Just make sure to manage the water levels since mold thrives in overly wet conditions.
You might want to consider introducing springtails into your setup. They feed on mold and could help keep that in check. They're great for a bioactive environment!
