Help! My Grow Lights Are Making A Ringing Noise—What Can I Do?

Hey everyone! I usually just lurk here, but I'm really struggling with a problem and could use some advice. I've got two LED grow lights: one in my bedroom and another in the living room. Unfortunately, they both emit this annoying high-pitched ringing noise when they're on, and I have hearing sensitivity, which makes it unbearable. I've tried using noise-canceling headphones, but it's not a permanent solution. I'm looking for affordable grow light options that don't produce this ringing sound. I've heard mixed things about LED bulbs, so I'm curious if anyone here has recommendations for quieter grow lights. Thanks a ton!

I don’t use grow lights myself, but I can empathize with the electrical noise dilemma. I’ve noticed that some people can hear the buzzing while others can’t, making you feel a bit isolated. I hope you find a solution soon!

I totally relate! I've had similar issues with cheaper grow lights from Amazon; the ringing sound almost drove me nuts after just two days! I ended up switching to Vivosun lights, and they've been much quieter and overall better. Definitely consider investing a bit more for higher quality LEDs!

Do you have a specific store or website where you found them? I'm looking to upgrade too!

I also have noise sensitivity, and it can really make you feel out of place when others can’t hear it. I have Soltech lights, and they don’t make any noise for me. They’re expensive, but they’ve been worth it in my opinion. Check their refurbished section for deals!

Thank you for the recommendation! I'll be sure to look into it.

As someone sensitive to noise, trying out different lights is key. You might want to experiment with a few brands at home and return them if they don't work for you. Just a note: not all LEDs are the same; some might be quieter, but it varies by model. Good luck!

Thanks for the practical advice! I'll definitely consider testing some out at home.
