I recently had a handyman install door cups on my closet doors, but they totally butchered the job. The cups aren't centered, and on two of the doors, the fasteners are in the wrong spots. I really love these doors, and I'm feeling quite bummed that they look so poorly done now. I'm looking for any suggestions on how to fix them up so they don't look so cheap anymore!

Honestly, if the cups were drilled all the way through the wood, you might want to think about flipping the doors around or getting new ones altogether. Patching can be a hassle, especially if it's not going to hold well in that spot.
Sounds like you have a couple of options! You could fill and re-drill the holes, patch them up, sand the area smooth, and then repaint before reattaching the cups. It might take some effort, but it could save your doors from looking messed up!
I know it’s frustrating, but it’s actually pretty easy to fix. If you're willing to learn, it could save you from dealing with another handyman. Just need to patch and fill the mistakes before making new holes for the cups. You could also consider flipping the doors around and installing the cups on the new side if that's doable!
Good point! Sometimes a little creativity is all it takes to make it look right again.

Exactly! Just make sure to really take your time with the sanding and drilling for a clean look.
