Help! My P-Trap Is Leaking After a DIY Project

Hey everyone! I was working on some plumbing in my home and accidentally bumped the P-Trap. Now it's leaking at the nut where it screws on. I tried to unscrew and reseat it, but the leak persists when water runs through the drain. Is replacing the trap my only option? I think it's glued in place, so what do you suggest I do? Replacing the trap is definitely an option! Just keep in mind you might need to use some extra piping and glue it into place. If you're looking for a more flexible solution, consider getting a rubber P-Trap instead. It's usually easier to work with and more forgiving than the standard ones. Without seeing the exact setup, that's about all I can suggest!

Thanks for the tip! I'll check out the flexible P-Trap option. Just uploaded a photo for better context.

You can actually cut off the P-Trap and install a new one if you really need to, but since it looks like you don't have much extra pipe, I'd recommend trying to seal the threads instead. It might save you the hassle of a full replacement.
