Hey everyone! I've been a big fan of Parkside tools for years, but I'm running into a problem with four of my batteries: one 8 Ah, two 4Ah (Bluetooth), and one 2Ah. They were all working well until they ran out of charge. Now, when I try to charge them, the red light on the charger keeps blinking, meaning they won't charge at all. I've tried different chargers, but nothing changes—just the blinking light. Has anyone dealt with this issue before? Should I attempt to fix it myself, or is it better to send them back to Lidl? I'd love a quick fix if possible since digging through receipts is a hassle. Thanks for any suggestions! Love, Jannis 😊

If you have another working battery, you can jump-start the faulty one by connecting both positive terminals together and the negatives as well. Sometimes that does the trick and gets them charging again! Just make sure you’re careful with connections.
Thanks for all the responses! If I decide to go through warranty, do I need the original receipt? I really don’t want to sift through all my online orders to find it. Do they have records in their system?
I experienced something similar before, and I found that cold weather affected my batteries, too. If it’s chilly or really hot, that can throw off the charging process. Just keep an eye on the temperature if you haven’t already!
It sounds like your batteries might be unbalanced. They charge as packs of smaller rechargeable cells, and if one cell is older or drops voltage too low, the whole pack can refuse to charge. It's crucial to avoid fully discharging them and instead, swap them out when they start blinking red. If they're still under warranty, definitely send them back to Lidl. If they're out of warranty, you could try measuring and balancing the individual cells, but it’s a tricky process and they might be on their last legs anyway.
