I have a plant that came in a pot with a few others. One of them is thriving, but this one is struggling. It's got black ends on the leaves, and I'm wondering if it's getting too much sun or if there's another issue. The other plant originally in the pot had rotting stems and a bit of mold where the leaves were, but this one seems okay aside from the black tips. Should I be watering it or changing its spot?

I suggest checking the roots as well. If you have mold issues in the past with similar plants, it’s a good idea to make sure your soil is draining well. Too much moisture will just lead to more problems. You can also trim off any black tips; it's fine to help the plant redirect its energy to healthier parts!
Yeah, if roots are looking rotted or mushy, it might be best to repot with fresh soil.
It definitely sounds like it could be a sun issue! Black tips on leaves can often mean the plant is getting too much direct sunlight or it’s experiencing heat stress. I'd try moving it to a spot where it gets indirect light instead. As for watering, make sure the soil is dry a couple of inches down before you add more water. Overwatering can also cause problems!
I had a similar issue with my plant! Moving it to a shadier spot helped a lot, plus I reduced how often I watered it.
Definitely check the roots, too! Sometimes damage there can lead to funky issues above ground.

Make sure your pot has good drainage holes too; that’s key for plant health!
