Hey everyone! I'm really excited about getting into plants and I'm making a genuine effort this time around. However, I'm facing an ongoing issue with mold developing on the surface of my soil. It's been a struggle as I've tried various methods to fix this. I've already sprinkled cinnamon on the soil, used a fan for better airflow, set up a dehumidifier to cut down on moisture, invested in high-quality plant lights, and reduced my watering schedule. Plus, I've switched to using actual soil instead of those pellets. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to help at all. I'm a total beginner and really want to achieve my goal of having some lovely plants in my apartment, but they don't get much natural light due to my place's layout. I'd appreciate any advice you all could share!

Have you checked if your pots have good drainage? That might be a basic detail you missed. If they’re still in small containers, they could be getting overwatered without adequate drainage, which can definitely lead to mold. Transferring them to bigger pots could help a lot!
