Help! My Pothos Cutting Lost Its Roots – What Should I Do?

Asked By PlantLover88 On

I recently repotted my Pothos plant, which I now realize might not have needed it since she had enough space. In the process, I accidentally broke off her roots! This little cutting only has one tiny leaf and a single node. Should I just place her back in water so she can grow new roots? I've heard Pothos are pretty resilient, but I'm feeling pretty anxious as a beginner. I'm worried she might have used up all her energy on her last root and leaf. Any advice?

No worries! Just put your cutting back into water, and it should bounce back just fine. Pothos are pretty hardy and should start growing new roots soon! Don't stress too much about it, they can handle a bit of rough treatment.

Exactly! Just plop it in some water. Pothos are notorious for growing roots quickly, so you should see some new growth in no time.
