I've got two solar panels totaling 500W hooked up to a 40A MPPT charge controller, which connects to my 12V 300Ah LiFePO4 lithium battery. Whenever I connect the solar panels to the charge controller, it displays an E2 error and shows 33 volts. The battery is brand new, just like the controller. However, when I disconnect the solar panels, the battery reads 13.2V. I'm looking for suggestions on how to troubleshoot this problem. Any ideas? Thanks!

Just to be sure, check that all wiring is done properly, especially ensuring the solar panels aren't connected to the battery port. Miswiring is a common culprit for these issues!
You might want to dive into the app control settings. Can you access the control screen without the battery connected? Double check that your battery configuration is for a standard 12V lithium setup and ensure it's not in 'Expert' mode unless you know what you're doing. If it’s set correctly, you should be good to go!
It's important to know the exact model of your MPPT charge controller since error codes can vary. An error like E2 generally means the battery voltage is too high. Make sure to check the wiring between the MPPT and the battery, including connectors and fuses. Things can get loose or damaged, causing incorrect readings.
Yes, I’ve double-checked the wiring, and it’s definitely set up correctly.
