Help! My Split Level Home is Super Uneven in Temperature

Hey everyone, I could really use some advice here. Last summer, we bought a split-level home, and I've noticed that the upper floors are always much warmer than the lower ones. Right now, my top level is sitting at a cozy 71 degrees, but the lowest level is freezing at just 52 degrees! I get that heat rises, but this seems extreme. I had an energy audit done, and they said the attic insulation looks good, but I'm wondering what else could be the issue. Could it be that the interior ceiling between floors isn't insulated well, or maybe my floors need better insulation? The tile floors are really cold and uncomfortable to walk on. Any tips on what I should investigate next?

First off, have you checked what type of heating system you have? It sounds like your heat isn't reaching the lower floors, which could be part of the problem. If your heating is in the attic, it might not be blowing enough warm air downstairs. Definitely worth looking into how the airflow is set up.

I have natural gas heating, and I've noticed it might not be blowing enough air downstairs. I’ll make sure to check that out!
