I'm growing my succulents indoors and I've been trying to give them adequate light. I got Barrina T5 lights because I've seen a lot of positive feedback about them. However, over the past couple of months, most of my plants have started to get elongated, and I'm not sure why.
The plants are potted individually on a stand with the lights zip-tied to the shelf above them. The average distance from the plants to the lights is about 20cm. Every plant is positioned directly under a light – none are off to the side. I'm also watering them thoroughly and allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. They seem healthy and are growing, but they're stretching quite a bit. Any advice would be appreciated!

It sounds like your lights might be too far away from your plants. Having them at 20cm could limit the amount of light your succulents are getting. Barrina lights can be effective, but many succulents do best when they’re closer to the light—around 10-15cm is usually ideal. If you can, try moving the lights closer and see if that helps!
That’s a good point! Also keep in mind how long you're running those lights each day. I use Barrina T5s too, and I run mine for about 12-16 hours daily. Maybe a combination of closer lights and longer exposure would do the trick!
