Help! My Weeping Pussy Willow Is Struggling After a Loss

I recently went through the loss of my baby, and I buried them in a pot alongside my weeping pussy willow. Unfortunately, I can't plant the tree outside since I live in an apartment. I've been watering it weekly and keeping it on a windowsill, but lately, the leaves have been droopy and some are getting crunchy. I'm really worried about it. Everything I'm reading suggests it needs to be outside, but that's not possible for me. Does anyone have advice on how I might save this tree?

Just a heads up, willows typically don’t do well indoors. I’ve tried keeping various trees in my apartment and most of them just didn’t make it, even with grow lights. If you can, see if a family member can take care of it outside. If that’s not possible, definitely look into buying a good grow light; they can be really bright and help a lot, but they do need plenty of light!

Thank you for your kind words! I’ll definitely check out grow lights, as it sounds like my best shot.

I’m really sorry to hear about your loss. That’s a unique way to keep your baby’s memory alive. As for your willow, it’s true that these trees generally need a lot of sunlight to thrive. If moving it outside isn’t an option, you might want to consider investing in a strong grow light to help provide enough light for it to recover. It could make a big difference!
