I've got a serious problem with tiny black ants invading my home. They're everywhere—crawling on my clean dishes, in my water bottle, in the litter box, on my cat's food, and even in the trash. It's gotten to the point where I can't even eat without them climbing on my table and getting onto my plate. I'm keeping my place tidy and I'm aware of food but still waking up with ants all over me. I've even sealed up cracks but I have no clue where they're coming from. Since I'm renting, I'd rather not spend a fortune trying to solve this. Does anyone have reliable tips or tricks to get rid of them?

Have you tried using Terro Ant Traps? They're great because the ants take the bait back to the colony, which helps eliminate them from the source. Usually, you should see a drop in their numbers within a few days, but make sure to keep your place clean so that they’re not attracted to anything.
I totally feel your pain! I dealt with a similar issue and found that using food-grade diatomaceous earth was effective. Just be cautious because it's not safe if your cats can get to it. I tried to find areas where I could sprinkle it out of their reach. Also, I stopped cleaning with bleach for the same reason—my cat has a habit of licking the floor. It's tricky because my infestation seemed to come from outside too, like there was a huge colony beneath my house! So just be aware of the outside as well.
Wow, sounds like a nightmare! I've heard those ants can travel quite a distance to get food. Maybe checking for cracks outside could help too!

I tried Terro too but I think there were just too many ants for it to make a difference. They all gobbled it up and came back in full force. Might be worth looking into other methods alongside!
