Help! Tiny Bugs on My String of Pearls

Asked By SproutLover99 On

I've noticed some tiny bugs on my string of pearls plant. They're almost invisible unless you really look closely, and I can't seem to get a good picture of them. They appear white or translucent, and I don't see any fuzzy white stuff on the plant. It looks like they might have two long front legs. I've only spotted four or five at a time, and they seem to dart around like little dust particles. Does anyone know what these might be?

Having a photo would definitely help, but I get that they're super tiny. If you can manage to capture them, that might make diagnosis easier! Good luck!

Those little bugs might be thrips if they're more elongated, kind of like walking hyphens. But if they look like round specks of dust and you notice spider webs, those could be spider mites. You don't necessarily need to post a photo; just check for damage on your plant. If you see tiny dark dots on the leaves, that’s thrip poop, which is a clear sign of the problem.
