I've got a problem with my garbage disposal: a pair of metal tweezers got stuck under the blades. I didn't realize they had fallen in until I ran the disposal a couple of times. I've tried using a 1/4 inch Allen wrench on the hex socket underneath, but it won't budge. When I apply too much force, the whole unit starts moving instead. Does anyone have advice on how to free the tweezers? I really want to avoid more damage to my disposal. Thanks!

It sounds like you're in a bit of a pickle! You might want to try using a stick or broom handle from the top to dislodge the tweezers. Just make sure to unplug the disposal before doing anything risky. If it’s really wedged in tight, removing the whole unit could give you better access. Good luck!

Thanks! I tried going in from the top, but they’re really stuck. Is removing the unit my only option?
