I recently dyed my hair and while I was cleaning the shower, I noticed some strange water pouring out from behind the plastic panels. The shower head has a filter, but we get our water from a well, which has me worried. I've only been in this house for a little over six months, and I'm really concerned about what I might find behind these plastic walls when I do some renovations. I even recorded a video of it, which you can check out here: https://jmp.sh/s/zhHu87noJrrOP5viikpg.

I hate to break it to you, but if you're wondering what's lurking behind those plastic walls... it's probably not going to be pretty. Prepare yourself for some unexpected surprises when you take them down!
Oh man, sounds like you could be dealing with some water damage. Generally, there should be a caulk seal between those plastic panels to keep water from getting behind them. I'd suggest removing the panels to inspect how much damage has already happened. Better to know now than later when you're renovating!
Are you sure water is actually flowing from behind the plastic wall? You might need to check if there are seams that should be sealed with silicone caulk. It could help prevent future leaks if it’s not caulked properly.
