Hey everyone! I bought a cool plant from a local shop about a year ago, and I'm pretty sure it's a succulent, but I'm uncertain since it looks a bit like an amaryllis too. I haven't given it much attention, which seems to be working since it's still alive! Recently, I accidentally knocked it off the windowsill and broke a leaf, but I noticed some new growth after a few weeks. To my surprise, that turned out to be a flower bud along with a couple of new leaves. I'm really excited about it but can't remember its name. Any ideas?

I did some quick digging, and it looks like your plant might be Haemanthus albiflos! It's a flowering succulent and often gets mistaken for other types due to its appearance. Glad to hear it’s thriving after your little accident!
I didn’t see any pictures posted initially, but that always helps! Glad to see you shared it later. Just remember to give it some sunlight and don’t overwater—those succulents are tough cookies!
Yeah, definitely looks like a succulent. If you want to be sure, you could always take it to your local nursery for an expert opinion!

Thank you so much! Now if I can just continue to not kill it?
