Help! What to Do About Shower Water Damage?

0
Asked By CraftyNinja42 On

I accidentally increased the water pressure in my shower, and over time, it seems like the strong flow has caused water to spray onto the walls, leading to visible cracks and possibly mold near the corner of the shower. We don't have any home improvement skills and are really unsure about how to handle this situation. Can anyone suggest what steps we should take to fix this?

You might want to check if the mold is just on the surface or deeper; if it’s extensive, it could be dangerous to handle alone. Maybe get some water damage repair kits and work on one small area at a time. And definitely don’t forget to keep an eye on that water pressure!

First off, it sounds like there’s a real concern with the wall damage and mold. The best move is to turn down the water pressure to avoid further issues. You should consider removing any damaged wall sections and replacing them, but if you see mold, it might be smart to bring in a pro to ensure it's fully cleaned up and won’t come back.
