I'm building my own DIY arcade machine and have hit a snag with the hardware. The setup includes a central tray with a fightstick for that classic arcade vibe. I'm looking to add buttons on the sides of the tray specifically for pinball games to replicate the authentic experience. I initially thought that the macro keys from TechKeys would do the trick, but unfortunately, the games aren't recognizing them as input. Meanwhile, my fightstick, a regular keyboard, and an Xbox controller all work perfectly. I'm at a loss for what to try next, and any advice would be greatly appreciated!

What platform are you running your arcade machine on? Also, can you clarify which TechKeys product you're using? If you're on a PC, a solid option might be to wire some arcade buttons directly to your existing keyboard. That setup often works seamlessly with games.
TechKeys' OneKeyboard is open source! That means you can tweak it a bit if you're comfortable with some technical stuff. Here's the link to their GitHub for more details. However, if the software you're using isn't recognizing the input from your macro keys, you might need to dig a bit deeper into how to get it to work. It can be tricky, but once you figure it out, you'll be golden!
