I've been digging into solar setups for a while now, and I keep bumping into conflicting info, even from Bluetti reps. I have the Bluetti Elite 200V2 and I'm trying to connect three Trina 445W solar panels (with a voltage of 52.6 VoC and max current of 10.05A) to it. I'm planning to wire the panels in parallel and use 10A fuses on each positive lead, connecting them through a 3-1 Y cable. However, I'm not sure if I should add a 20A fuse on the single output back to the Bluetti. I really want to avoid overamping and risking any fire hazards. I've heard that amps are pulled on demand, so exceeding 20A shouldn't be a huge problem, but I just want to make sure I'm safe since the Bluetti has a 60V max limit. Am I on the right track here? Using a fuse before your Bluetti is a good call; it helps protect against any flaws that may arise. The Bluetti isn't likely to pull more than its limit unless there's a fault — in most cases, it should only spike momentarily while adjusting. The bigger concern is if there's a short that sends excessive current through the plug itself. If your wiring can handle at least 30A, you really don't need that additional fuse unless you have doubts about the Bluetti's internal safety features. Just remember that adding too many fuses can complicate things rather than help, as each fuse is another potential weak link.

Can the three 10A fuses cause the 20A fuse to blow on the opposite end? Just trying to wrap my head around this, like is my uncle just being cautious?
