Help with Toggle Screws Installation

Asked By CraftyFox27 On

I'm trying to install a cabinet using toggle screws, and I've managed to get the toggles to open behind the drywall. However, when I start tightening the screws, they just spin without actually pulling the toggles into place. Does anyone have tips on how to get them to secure properly?

It sounds like you might need to apply some tension on the screw while you're turning it. Try pulling on the screw gently as you tighten it. This way, the toggle can press against the back of the drywall and won't spin around as you turn the screw. That should help it grip better!

I get that you're looking for advice, but it can be really frustrating to figure out these things. Sometimes, just the right angle or a bit of pressure can make all the difference. If you’ve already watched videos, maybe try a different angle on the screw or check if the toggle is properly aligned. Good luck!

Thanks for the tips! I'll give that a go and see if adjusting the angle helps.
