I currently have two spare rooms: one is a permanent guest room that sees frequent use, making my friends and family feel comfortable when they visit. The second room is my home office, which isn't utilized as much because I prefer working in the living room. I'm considering turning my small office into a gym, which would involve moving my desk to the guest room. What do you think would be the better choice in my situation?

I'd go for the gym. I have both, and I use my gym almost every day. Honestly, I do all my work from my living room because I’m a bit lazy and like to watch TV while working!
Consider if you'll actually use the gym in that room. Is it really a practical location for a home gym, or would it be better in a basement or garage?
I live in a Victorian townhouse and space is tight. We have four bedrooms and a basement, but the basement is too low for a gym. This room would actually be upstairs.
I did something similar. I moved my gym to the garage and set up my office in the guest room. I can't believe I went so long without proper gym equipment at home!
On a scale of 1-10, how important is having gym equipment at home?

That sounds like me! I’m thinking of getting a power rack for my home gym!
