I'm working on a Science Olympiad project with my kid and we're trying to figure out the best way to attach a PVC pipe to a beach ball. I'm totally stumped on how to do this, so I'd appreciate any ideas or solutions you all might have!

You could split the PVC pipe down the middle and cut a cross-wise section that’s about a quarter of the beach ball's circumference. Then heat the edges to bend them around the ball and secure it with duct tape. It should hold pretty well!

That sounds like a solid plan! Just make sure to file any rough edges to prevent popping the beach ball.

Ever thought about using a net? You could wrap a net around the inflated beach ball and tie it to the PVC pipe. It’ll give you a good grip without risking a pop.

Good idea! That way, if you ever need to detach it, it wouldn't be a problem.

Just curious, does the beach ball need to be inflated? If not, maybe you could attach it while it's deflated for easier handling! Once it's secure, you can inflate it.

That’s actually a clever workaround! You can always inflate it afterwards just enough to keep its shape.
