How Can I Attract Toads to My Suburban Garden?

I'm struggling with a pill bug problem in my garden and I want to bring in some toads to help manage them. Even though I know toads are around, they're nowhere to be found in my yard. I live in the suburbs close to a metro park and have already tried creating a wet log pile at the back fence, but no luck so far! Any advice on how to attract these helpful little amphibians?

Leaving some leaf litter on the ground can really help since toads need moisture to survive. I found two just hanging out in the leaf piles in my yard! Also, consider adding a small pond; my dad built a retention pond and it attracted tons of toads within the first year!

I feel like a pond is what I’m missing, thanks!
