I have a security screen door in my apartment that I love, but there's a major downside at night. I'm in a busy area, and with my inside lights on, passersby can see right through. During the day, it's fine unless someone gets really close, but with summer temperatures soaring between 80-100°F, I don't have A/C and want to keep the airflow. I'm considering options to make the door more private at night while still letting air in. I've thought about using a curved shower curtain rod to hang sheer drapes, but that's a bit long. I'm also thinking about attaching a rod magnetically to the frame. Anyone have suggestions?

How about installing an interior light just inside your entrance? You can direct it toward the screen door to kind of create a shield of light. Just keep in mind you may attract some bugs, though!
You might want to try some adjustable louvers! They can be angled up or down to block visibility while still allowing airflow. Just make sure they’re the right size for your door!
That sounds like a solid approach!
Yeah, that’s definitely a downside to consider.
