I live in a 1960s house that has retro popcorn ceilings in the living rooms. They're actually a good fit with the overall style, which features cool quartz rock walls and a modernist staircase. Recently, during some work, a contractor removed a decorative corbel and I discovered that the popcorn ceilings were originally a light pink with sparkles. Right now, the ceilings and walls are painted Swiss Coffee, but I really miss the magical sparkle effect reminiscent of the late 60s and 70s homes. Does anyone know if there's a way to recreate that fine, star-like sparkle finish that was so popular back then? I'd love to use it in at least one of the living rooms!

I totally know what you're talking about! But just a heads-up, those sparkly finishes might have been made with asbestos or something equally risky back in the day. It's possible you could find modern alternatives, but be cautious about safety depending on what you're using.
Believe it or not, you can still purchase ceiling glitter on Amazon or specialized retailers. They also have hand-crank glitter sprayers available to help you apply it evenly, making it easier to achieve that classic look!

Oh sweet, thank you! I was worried that spraying the glitter correctly so it looks right would be difficult.
