How Can I Care for My Plants While Battling Depression?

Asked By SunnySigh123 On

I've built up a pretty large collection of houseplants and loved taking care of them, but I've recently hit a rough patch with depression. After dealing with pest issues and root rot before, it felt great to see new growth, but now, I struggle to even water them once a week. It hurts to see them wilting, and I don't want to give them away since nobody else would appreciate them as I did. I want some tips on how to downsize my collection or manage minimal care during this tough time.

I totally get where you're coming from! Sometimes having that responsibility can actually give you some purpose, even when you don't feel like getting out of bed. I found that diving into plant care deeper, like learning more about them or watching YouTube videos, helped distract me during tough times—definitely speaking from my experience here!
