How Can I Contain Flowers Along My Fence Without Disturbing Neighbors?

I'm planning to plant some flowers like Shasta daisies, tulips, daffodils, and ranunculus along my fence, but I don't want their roots to invade my neighbor's yard. Is there a way to keep these plants contained so they don't spread too much?

I have all the plants you're considering except for the ranunculus. My Shasta daisies get pretty big and I need to divide them now and then, but they don’t spread much if I deadhead them regularly. Tulips and daffodils are bulb plants that do multiply, but they usually stay quite close to where you originally plant them. Honestly, I wouldn't worry too much about it; you might be overthinking the situation!

Why not consider using a pot? It's a simple solution to keep the roots from spreading. I understand you’re looking for creative options, but pots are definitely a good way to avoid any issues with your neighbors. There's also stuff like weed barriers you can look into. It’s awesome you’re starting your gardening journey!

Yeah, I get that a pot is a straightforward solution! I’m just curious if there are other methods out there since I know weed barriers exist. Trying to gather as many ideas as possible!
