I'm trying to figure out how to make a custom-shaped mirror using my CNC router, but the problem is that it can't cut glass or mirrors. I've explored some options like vinyl from Amazon, but they turn out looking like funhouse mirrors when applied. I've also tried spray paint, but that hasn't worked out either. Is there a viable alternative? I'm looking for a way to achieve a true mirror look on acrylic or something similar without sacrificing quality.

If you're set on a quality finish, nothing beats real glass for optical clarity. However, you could consider using mirrored plexiglass; it's a bit easier to cut with lasers and will fit your CNC requirements. However, keep in mind the image quality might not be as sharp as glass!
Have you thought about using a plastic mirror sheet? The thicker versions can work well while still being easier to handle than glass. Just make sure to avoid the flimsy kind!

Yeah, I heard plexiglass can be useful. How do you think it compares to actual glass for visual effects?
