Hey everyone! I'm looking to build a toddler-friendly sink specifically for handwashing. Our current sinks are all too high for little ones, and I found that most online guides just involve using barrels of water. I want to enhance safety by installing a splitter valve in the cold water line to prevent accidental burns from hot water. I'm also trying to figure out how to properly run the drain line while making use of the space under the kitchen sink. I'd love to hear if anyone has any designs or alternative ideas (and please no suggestions involving just one or two buckets as the water source!).

Make sure that the barrels or containers you consider for the water supply are tall enough. You wouldn't want the toddlers to reach the weights if you're planning some sort of dual supply. Plus, having a sturdy base will keep it stable while they're washing their hands. Good luck with your project!
Dude, your title was a wild ride! Just focus on safety first—testing the water temperature is crucial. I think using a splitter like you mentioned is a smart move. Use durable materials, especially for the drain line to avoid leaks later on. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out!
Lol, I totally thought the same thing when I read your title! I was like, 'Are we actually talking about toddlers here?' But seriously, if you're going to create a sink, consider adding a weight vest for some fun 'sinking' experience—just kidding! Please don't get any crazy ideas!
Right? I was worried for a second! But yeah, keeping it all safe and fun for the kids is key.

Thanks for the advice! I'll keep safety in mind for sure.
