How Can I Create an 8-Hour UPS Backup for My WiFi Router?

I'm looking to set up a UPS that can provide 8 hours of backup power for my WiFi router, but I'm not sure where to start. I would really appreciate any help with a diagram that includes the necessary components along with their names and models.

If you're aiming for that 8-hour backup, consider getting a used UPS that’s not more than 650VA. Pair it with a 50Ah LiFePO4 battery connected to the original battery terminals. This setup should work pretty well for you!

Is there a specific UPS model you recommend that's easy to find?

To optimize your system, let us know the specifications of your router or modem. If they run on 12V, you could boost efficiency with a native DC battery setup!

You can definitely achieve your 8-hour goal by using battery packs, as long as you match the voltage with the UPS. While building your own system might take a little longer, there are UPS models out there ready to handle this setup. Might save you some headaches!
