I've gathered a massive collection of plastic sunglasses over the years—576 pairs, to be exact—after struggling to find my favorite model again. I recently bought a bulk lot from a wholesaler, but they all came in various colors except black. Instead of letting these colorful shades go to waste, I'm looking for a safe and durable method to dye or paint them all black. What are some effective ways to do this?

You might want to try using a cling film template to cover the lenses while you spray paint the frames. It could be handy if you create a plunger-shaped tool to make the process easier and tidier! Just be sure to find a paint that's durable and safe for skin contact, since you’ll be handling these a lot.

Thanks for the suggestion! The lenses can be easily popped out, so I’ll consider that method for sure.
