I need to use water from my hose for my garden, but I want to make sure it's dechlorinated. Does anyone have any tips or methods to do this safely?

Actually, it's worth knowing that the chlorine levels in tap water are usually not harmful to plants, according to the EPA. The thresholds they set are pretty safe, so if you're in a pinch, your plants should be fine even with chlorinated water. Just something to consider before going through all that hassle!

One effective way to dechlorinate hose water is to run it through a carbon filter. Alternatively, you could fill a container with the water and let it sit for about 24 hours, which will help the chlorine dissipate. Just keep in mind that this method only works for chlorine and not chloramine, which is a more stable compound.
